    2011 - 04.17

How do you know that it is your time for change? Only you can answer that. It is your life and you must determine in yourself what you believe and don’t believe. I can tell you one thing though, if you are waiting to get all of the answers first, you’ll waste your life away and turn around one day an old man or woman and realize you spent your life waiting and ended up with very little to show for your life. Time is too precious to spend in constant contemplation. The earth and time has known many people who are great intellectual thinkers. They have great revelation and understanding, but with little action to add to it, it leaves them of no great consequence in society and all they leave are their deep thoughts and empty pockets. If just a fraction of the zeal that was put into their thought had been added to their actions, they would have broke out so heavily upon society that entire generations would barely be able to contain the power of that change. We would not be searching so desperately for a move of God; it would be evident that our entire nation was a direct move from heaven.

Which brings me to my next point. When Peter walked on water, he had no regard for the failure but his eyes and attention where clear on the focus. As long as he was intent on the focus, he could not go under. Faith for your purpose will require you to burn some safety bridges behind you and make you keep your eyes on your intention. With your eyes on your intention, you will not fall. Don’t allow the fear of failure to keep you in the place of mediocrity. For Edison’s 1999 failures, it only took one success to make him one of the greatest inventors in the history of mankind.

    Time for Change

    2011 - 04.16

Over the years there have been many books, seminars and different instructions on life change. Everywhere you turn on TV, there is another reality show or informercial on how to change your life. After you get done reading the book, or watching the show, the main question that looms in your mind is: How do I get started? What should I do to begin on the road to changing my life?  The answer is simple. The first step is simply knowing. Knowing that where you are is not where you want to be. Knowing that the place you currently stand is not your final destination. Have you been poured out, or is there more left in you? If you know there is still more to give, more to do, more places to go, then this is a great place to start. Sometimes people think that you must have a clear goal in mind, but when the Lord spoke to Abram, He just told him to go. It says in Hebrews that he sojourned into a land that he had not known, and he was searching for a city whose builder and maker was God.

Just knowing and making up in your mind that you need to move away from where you are is a great place to begin on your journey to end up where you have been destined to arrive. Many people have lost out in life because they have waited for the “right time” or for the situation to be conducive for change. We have all at one point, even in our Christian walk, heard of people saying they are going wait until they stop this, or stop doing that, before they settle down and get their life right. When they finally do, they realize, there is still so much work to be done, that you are yet a work in progress, and the real change didn’t come from them, but it was a divine move of God. They made the decision to change and be lead by the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit guided them down the path to obedience and favor. So if you are reading this blog, let me help you.  Today is a great day for you to walk in your new life! It doesn’t matter who you are. The moment you make a resolve in your mind, that you are going to get something different, and you refuse to settle for the status quo, that is the moment your entire life will change. Some change is immediate, some change will take time, but change will come!

    Expectation and Trust

    2011 - 04.15

Everything in this life has its roots in realm of the invisible. Everything was first a thought. It doesn’t matter what the desired result. Whether for riches or righteousness, for invention or achievement, it all begins with determined thought, and determined thought produces a response.

The thoughts that a person can think are one of the most powerful forces behind the things that he will do. Thoughts of righteousness will lead you on a path that will take you to good things. They will cause you to produce actions of righteousness and truth. Just as thoughts of lust and desire will lead you down a path of lethargy, lasciviousness, and all manner of wickedness.  There are many people who have been addicted to drugs or many different vices such as cigarettes, pornography, etc…, that will tell you that when they were tempted to do it, it was first a thought in their mind. As they gave strength to their thought by entertaining more, the thought grew in power and resolve. Once resolve set in, the thought became a determined purpose, and the determined purpose caused them to do the thing that they at first wanted to not do.

The mind is a tool, and you will have to learn to use that tool and apply principles to cause that tool to be of benefit to you and not a detriment. Phil 4:18 tells us to think on these things, think on things that are honest, lovely, just, good report. He then says if there be any virtue, then think on these things. When you order your thoughts in a certain way, they will produce the desired results. The same as it is in business or any other area of life. It is the thoughts you have toward wealth or achievement that will help catapult you to that expected end. Without consistent, determined thought, there is no true expectation. Expectation is born from a belief that a result will come. Without trust, there is no true expectation.

    Walking In Peace

    2011 - 04.14

The Bible says that there are no issues in life but such as are common to man. The things you desire and push for in life, are the same issues that we all have struggled with from time to time. What is the desire of all men and women, but to grow, work, and be able to provide for themselves and their families? To go to school, learn a trade or career, so they can be what we consider “productive in society”. Who is it that does not just want peace of mind? The love of friends and family? To gain wealth so that we can enjoy life and find some sense of comfort?  The purpose of this blog is not to walk you down some whimsical trail of fantasy and wishful thinking. The words in this blog will propel your life into levels of success that you have only dreamed of. It makes no difference what you have in your pocket now. Whether you are rich or poor. Have a PhD or a 5th grade education. The principles here will revolutionize your life, and if you are ready, reveal more about the true power of purpose that still longs to get out of you.

Like I mentioned earlier, unless you have been poured out, meaning given all the substance that was in you and you are ready to give up the ghost, then there is more that needs to come out, and if your heart is tender for a move of the Lord, then that is exactly what will happen as you go forward reading this blog. Today and the rest of your life, you will be intimately acquainted with the what and the how. I can tell you this much: you are the who, the when is now, and the why is for His glory. Now choose to go and discover the what and the how for your life.

    Faith For His Image

    2011 - 04.13

Trust YouThe biggest issue with sin, is that the more you practice it, the further away it takes you from faith. Sin will make you rely on your own decisions, assist you in making your own outcomes, and removes you from a relationship with God.  Before you know it, all your ideas, even pertaining to righteousness, come from what you do and who you are, and not from who Christ is, and what He has decided. You begin to walk with the Law, but under the law we are all guilty and doomed. Romans says that the Law is good in that it reveals sin, and how far away we are from the mark, but we are no longer under the Law but grace. Grace says I have given you something that you could never do. I have justified you and made you righteous before my eyes. Righteousness allows God to look at us through the eyes of Christ and find pleasure in the fact that we are His peculiar treasure on the earth. Justification allows you who were tried and found guilty of committing sin, already sentenced to death (because the end of sin is death, and the punishment for sin is death) to receive forgiveness and grace instead. Instead of death, grace and favor has brought you before an innumerable host of angels, to the place where we are made perfect, and you receive an inheritance in the Saints. You are now an heir and joint-heir with Christ. The Spirit of God now even bears witness that you are the sons and daughters who Christ has redeemed. Now the things you ask, you receive, not because of your works, but you receive them because of your faith. Your faith in your right standing before the Father. Now your works are based on and compelled by the positional authority you received by faith in the Almighty God, and not by the status you think you have earned by your works. Should you continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid.

God never said for you to put your trust in what you see. You are to put trust in His Word. The word of God’s intention has no choice but to come to pass. The scripture is clear, God says that He watches over His word to perform it. The word perform means to literally cause it to happen. God has caused us to walk in righteousness. We are clothed with His glory. We are being conformed into the image of His dear son.

    Seek for Success

    2011 - 04.11

Holiness, righteous living, long life, wealth, prosperity, great fortunes… All of this can be obtained in the life of the believer. None of these things are set apart for a few select people on the planet. It is available to anyone who can apply the simple principles to obtain them. Throughout this blog we will reiterate these principles and burn them into your subconscious. Although not mentioned by name directly, if you have the desire to seek and the mind to believe, then nothing will be able to stop you from receiving the principles and applying them for your success in life. It makes no difference what endeavor you are trying to achieve. Whether it is a raise on your job, or if you want to own a billion dollar organization. These principles are found in the lives of every true achiever. If you apply these two principles, there will be nothing that will be impossible to you. Once you grab hold of them, in everything you read you will see these principles. When you read the Bible, they will jump out on every page. Your relationships will never look the same again. You will find them everywhere you read in this book. They will be the catalyst for your next and all future levels in life. Jeremiah 29 puts it well when it says, “If you seek me, you will be found of me, when you search for me with all your heart.

    Simply Justified

    2011 - 04.10

The Bible says that the devil is the accuser of the brethern, and ceases not night and day making accusations of our unworthiness before the Father. What we have to do is learn to not allow the accusations of the enemy to be our word over our lives. Many times in my life, it was me who was my own worst critic. I refused to allow myself to be blessed, because I always thought I was unworthy. There was always something that I was doing that was stopping the Lord from just exploding in my life. First it was because I was smoking. Then it was because I didn’t pray enough. Then it was because I didn’t fast enough.  Several times when I was fasting, I believed it was rejected before the Lord because I ate a Snicker Bar during the fast… a Snicker Bar! How religious is that? You get to the point where you are so self-condemning, you find yourself always trying to meet the standard, the standard that can never be met, trying to earn the justification that was freely given, and even if you had to earn the extravagance that the Lord wanted to pour upon you, you could never “work” enough to earn it. Not realizing that the more I tried, the more I stunk up the place because I tried to be God. I tried to make my own righteousness. When I did good, I decided my own reward. If I do this today, then I will get this result tomorrow. If I don’t say anything wrong today, then tomorrow something good will happen to me. I even decided my own punishment. I would say things to myself like, “Because I did this and that wrong, even if I repent and ask forgiveness, I can’t be excused from the repercussion, or the penalty of that sin, so this is the result I am going to get”. Everything I did, I was judge and jury.  I really didn’t need God much, because I already decided what I would do and what I would get based on the actions I took. Fortunately for us, righteousness is not like that. God freely gave us a gift we could never earn and never repay. Our responsibility is to seek Him and go hard after His heart; the results are up to Him. Today I choose to just simply love Him.

The God Man Within and Without

    2011 - 04.09

When Jesus walked the face of the earth in human form, he showed us some of the similarities between God and man. Being made in the image and likeness of God, has given men certain benefits. We may not see it or attain to it but it is very much true men can have some of the same qualities and attributes of God, such as man can cause things to change in the earth, just as God can. Man can also agree with God as He as well agrees with his own word. God becoming man is a great assurance for us as humans. Because it allows us to see that though we are in the flesh, if in our human frailty can learn to agree to with the spirit that is within us, then there is nothing that will be impossible for us to accomplish. If thou canst only believe, All things are possible to him that believeth. There is a power of the spirit that has everything to do with our agreement with the Lord and less to do with the frailty of our flesh. Our resolve must be to learn to agree with the God that is in us and calling us forward to effect change in the earth and not lean to our understanding and human limitations. Peter walked on water and defied even the very laws of gravity. Your agreement with the Spirit will cause you to perform great exploits for the ways of heaven!
